Welcome!

 

A Day at the Domain is a fun and affordable family day out in the beautiful, historic Te Aroha Hot Springs Domain. With FREE entry and entertainment throughout the day, local crafters and artisans, coffee, ice cream and food trucks, there is something to delight young and old and everyone in between!

 

What another amazing event we had in March 2025!

The FREE entertainment kicked off at 10am with the traditional opening of Domain Day with the BOP pipes.

 

On the band rotunda - Bak to Bak entertained with popular tunes throughout the day.

 

11 am - Snacks and drinks were enjoyed at the Teddy Bears Picnic before the popular Enchanted Entertainment took the little ones for story time and games with Spiderman, Elsa and Moana! 

 

11.15am - Wai Taiko Drummers will once again entertained all

 

12 pm - The Irish Dancers thrilled all with their toe tapping display

 

1 pm - Wai Taiko Drummers 2nd performance of the day

 

As well as all of our local crafters, our local Volunteer Fire and Rescue vehicle, Hato Hone St John, pickle ball demos, croquet demos, free facepainting, free bouncy castle for the little ones, vertical bungy and safari jeeps ride, lots of local community groups, local fundraising stalls, our committee fundraisers including mystery envelopes, sausage sizzle and candy floss, food trucks, coffee carts, ice cream and sunshine were on hand throughout the day☀️. 

 

 

Thanks to our food vendors on the day  Taj Indian Restaurant, Delicious Dosa, NZ Momo, Bowls, Cups and Waffle, Spot on Ice-cream, Mind the Grind Coffee, Little Tasty Food Truck, Shots Coffee Cart, The Little Canteen, Star Food to Go, Aloha Shave Ice, Mr Whippy, Lil Orbits Donuts, St Marks Pavilion Tea Rooms and of course our committee fundraiser sausage sizzle, BLT and bacon butties plus candy floss!

Our many artisan and craft stalls on the day included Quantock Wood and Resin, Spiral Shell, Tinny Az, Aquarian Vibes, Button Up, Dappa PawsPinnies and Things, Mind, Body, Spirit Balance NZShamelessly Shabby, Three Dee's, Todz and Up, Twice Round the Block, M&M Crafts, The Scent Room, Leonies Kitchen, Rawleighs, Tootie's Creations, Balsamic Moon, Divine Design, Mad Hatter Creations, Preserves and Relishes by Trea, Whenu Ataahua/Beautiful Strands, Westside Investments, Tintype Central, Constellation and Stone, Chuckling China, Jens Crafts, S&Dmac Design, WMS Landscape & Supplies, Bubala Creation, Smoked and Seasoned Salt, Alpacca Artistry, Damian Madden wooden creations, Kimbles Crafts, J by J Jewelry, Crafty Ideas, Blakatz Little Shop, Puzzelentime Wooden IQ puzzles, Love from Addy, Leah's Flora Creations, Intoxicakes and Kiwi Fudge.

Our community groups in attendance were 

Creative Fibre Waikato, PGF Services, Let Kids be Kids, Te Aroha Citizens Advice Bureau, Keep Te Aroha Beautiful,  First Credit Union with their face painter, Axel Puga - SDA Church, Future Te Aroha, Perrin Guitar Tuition, Community Patrol, TA Lions with their fundraiser firewood raffle, Te Aroha Bridge Club, Twenty20 Netball,  plus the ladies from St Marks Church Te Aroha with their tea roomsin the Domain Pavilion.

Matamata-Piako libraries were here with a selection of activities for the children.

The team from Hato Hone St John were on site with some of their emergency vehicles and the crew from the Te Aroha Volunteer Fire and Rescue services were also in attendance.

Our Village Garden: Te Kete o Te Aroha Inc, were fundraising with sales of fresh seasonal produce and home made goodies.

Nancy the travelling caravan was here too, together with staff from MPDC to engage in some fun games and community feedback.
 

Many thanks go to the Te Aroha & District Museum, with FREE entry on the day.  Plus the Te Aroha Croquet Club who spent the day demonstrating their sport on the croquet lawns with have a go sessions.

We have locked in Sunday 1st March 2026 for our next event  Application forms will be available from early spring 2025.
